Guinathon is Youngstown State University’s Dance Marathon!

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a movement of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for more than 170 pediatric hospitals. Students involved in planning for the dance marathon event spend a year gaining leadership, teamwork, and nonprofit business experience while raising funds for and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families.

All proceeds will benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley to fund new programs, equipment, and uphold the promise that no child is ever turned away for any reason including an inability to pay.

OUR STORY

Dance Marathon at Youngstown State University will hold its seventh annual 8-hour event on February 24, 2024 where students stay on their feet to raise money and awareness for our local children’s hospital. Guinathon is a yearlong movement dedicated to saving young lives. Youngstown State University’s Dance Marathon is an event where YSU students and Youngstown community members come together and leave all their differences at the door in order to unite for one cause: the kids. Together, we support Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by standing for those who can’t and giving a voice to sick children who might not otherwise have an opportunity to be heard.

OUR CAUSE

Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospitals. Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley is our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.

Our donations help to provide innovative and comprehensive care, support pediatric research, and the purchase of the latest technology to maintain the highest standard of clinical care. Akron Children’s Hospital has an incredible commitment to providing a comfortable environment for families during hospital stays.
